This leaf dish was handmade from pressed Wood Nettle Leaves that grow along the banks of the stream that runs through my neighborhood. Their prickly texture is easily absorbed into the clay. I strive to shape them organically so the fired clay holds the grace of the living leaves. The clay leaves are stained with a red iron wash to highlight the leaves many veins and glazed with a clear glassy glaze to highlight the white clay body,
