Used since ancient times to prepare food & medicine, the Mortar & Pestle still has a place in our modern homes. This one is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel and finished in a lovely satin sage green on the outside. The inside of the mortar bowl is hand carved and the bottom is impressed with handmade stamps to create a sweet lunar pattern and nice tooth for the pestle to do its work. The inside is glazed clear to make cleaning easier.
All of the pottery is handmade by me, in my home studio. It is my goal to create one of a kind pots that are made to use. All pottery is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. Lead-free
